I am working with Hoover GCT students in many capacities. Team Sisu completed pumpkin investigations and we are starting to plan our business investigation unit! Talk to your students about how needs and wants shape our community. Some teams are beginning an investigation unit into rain forrest animals. GCT students are doing some practice with researching methods and identifying "deep" facts versus "surface" facts.
Most GCT students were also introduced today to the Young Authors & Artists Conference information. This competitive writing opportunity is open to 4th and 5th grade students and is an amazing opportunity for students to apply for the honor of representing their school at the Milwaukee Art Museum on December 2nd, 2019. Students who participate in this event will receive a published book with their narrative writing. Ask your child about this event.
